At the 'A Foundation" in Shoreditch, we launched 18 new products by our four collaborating designers. New designs included Deco Sofa, Nest lounge chair, Reedy Bookcase, Wired King and Holy Table by Autoban, Hug lounge sofa and Tone Cabinet by Leif.designpark, Brando Sofa, Mars Table, Hepburn Bed and Hepburn Fixed Sofa by Matthew Hilton and a seating collective by Studioilse consisting of three benches, two settles, and two stools. Also on display was a preview of new interior accessories designed by Charlene Mullen for Matthew Hilton. PRODUCT exhibition highlighted the diversity of the designs as well as the common ethos they share.
PROCESS: The Modern Workshop exhibition
At TENT London, De La Espada presented an exhibition that focused on craft-based modern design through the display of materials, components and products. It was a rare behind the scenes insight into De La Espada manufacture.
PHILOSOPHY: Seating for Eating
Leila's Shop featured an installation of new seating by Studioilse, allowing visitors to sit on the furniture while enjoying a cup of coffee. A series of kitchen table talks were held on the premises, focusing on the link between growing food and community. Benjamin Hubert sponsored by De La Espada at 100% Design De La Espada supported promising young designer, Benjamin Hubert through the manufacture of Splay coatstand for his exhibition at 100% Design.
